Some of these images have appeared on HH or other sites over the years, but never in a collection like this. Thanks very much to the many people (identified and unidentified...) who saw fit to send these to HH or HH saw fit to 'borrow' them from. Sorry if they are not all in good taste, but would you expect anything less on this site? LP

*Hi Larry, In regards to your picture from Van Isle Dragway, my dad is in the left lane in his 49 Anglia, and Henry Haslam in his Austin is in the right lane. The Anglia ran in the low 10s, and the Austin ran low 11s. The picture was taken in 1969, and apparently John is still in Victoria.
Here's
a couple of pictures I thought you might like. Both are from Van Isle, with my
dad staging the Anglia(426 Hemi), and running his 70 Cuda wheelstander (blown
426 Hemi). The Cuda was bought new, and immediatly stripped with the Hemi placed
in the back seat. These pictures were taken by the late Pat Huxtable.I once saw
Pat standing in the middle of the lane, with the Cuda coming at him with the
wheels up, and snapping shots as quick as he could! Brent
