Track Site VRA Goodguys Drag Racing Goodguys Rod & Custom 2005 HH Features
GIANT HH photo feature starts HERE. Please note we included as many winners as possible, but we had to video all the final rounds so sorry for any not included. All names and info were taken from the official results sheets (which are never perfect), so again sorry for those not identified or done so incorrectly, if we could not see a number or whatever we could not do a caption. We simply did the best we could with what we had to work with in the time allowed. -Larry Pfister, Webmaster Seattle Goodguys video RIGHT CLICK HERE (and Save Target As) to download to your system. It's a 5MB file and if the demand is too much we'll have to pull it, so do it now folks. Feel free to re-post it on your site, just please give us a link and let us know. For those new here our online videos are put together very quickly with the shots that fit. Sorry to those not included, but there WILL be a video featuring this event on DVD near the end of the year. No firm date as yet, but check back here regularly for more details. Yes we can offer you videos of your car at this event if we have some, but at our current level of work will not be able to get it to you until after this feature is done, probably early 2006. And check out Flyin' Phil Elliott's great story on Jerry Ruth at Draglist.com HERE. When people wander around a drag strip using words like 'magic' you know something special is goin' on. Go ahead and in 'awesome', 'amazing', 'unbelievable' and a dozen other expletives and you still won't get close. When you're done going on about it realize that the Goodguys 1st Northwest Nationals at Pacific Raceways was all that and more. Without a doubt this was the one of the top half dozen races this writer has ever seen at the facility going back to 1972. It all came together in a number of ways. First had to be the conditions. The weather was near mine shaft, the track was as sticky as it's ever been (one guy ran out of his shoe at the 300 ft mark), a perfectly-sized bunch (just under 200) of bad ass race cars, many that had never been here before, a facility full of humans who simply live for this kinda thing...and well, it really was magic. My chin is still sore from hitting the ground so many times. It was not a well kept secret that this race was a one-shot-deal to see how it went, but after what we all experienced here, how the hell could they not do it again? You never know, but whatever happens those who made it out to the first one will have big time bragging rights forever and ever. Pacific Raceways official GoodGuys photos. Click on the link here, then the green drag racing link box at the top of the page, then the orange gallery box. You'll see a small list and click on the 2005 GoodGuys Nostalgia Drags box top left for a ton of cool pics by Ken Grohs. Track
