Give this final round to the nitro car as Melanie drove away from a tire-chattering Calrson.

A happy winner.

Boy that Carlson dude is looking sharp in those Digger togs..

A shot of the Burger Car beginning a first round 5.441/262.48 blast that would stand for top speed of the event, and trailer a down Federlin.

...and the old guys go wild...

Maybe the nicest run of the entire race was Dale Carlson's career best 5.461/258.09 semi-final win over Henkelman.

...and the crew goes REALLY wild!

But hey...with cool stuff like this stuck to the trailer, how could you not like these guys!

I wonder if I could get one of these from Henkelman then sneak it onto Bob Wilson's car...

Some of us were wondering why this car would barely turn a tire on the burnout...all weekend long...

...until the semis, when we saw plenty of smoke.

He didn't know either...It then shook beside Carlson's .46.

Ah, such are the post race duties when running the loud stuff.

Once again the local guy appeared to have it set on kill qualifying fourth with a 5.557/251.87...

Launching like a rocket...

Only to have this happen again.

'Most Improved' goes to Mike McHargue who was running 60's.

Anderson was on his game too, but 5.60s just were not enough for this field.

Kim Parker is looking better each time out, with a great 5.877/239.47 run here.

Spokane's Hordemann ran a nice 5.917/235.78 to jst miss the show, with Aries power.
